Love and Jazz Overlooking the Hudson: After an extensive venue search, Wave Hill in the Hudson Hill section of Riverdale in The Bronx, was the perfect setting for this Indian-American couple’s riverside nuptials. Cocktails in the 19th century Wave Hill House were followed by an intimate dinner party with live jazz accompaniment. 

Sweeping lawns and gardens led to panoramic views of the Hudson River and the breathtaking location for this gracious couple’s outdoor exchange of “I Do’s” in a custom ceremony, performed by the mutual friend who introduced them, and floral garlands in Indian tradition. Their guests then enjoyed cocktails in the renovated Wave Hill House built in 1843 and once home to Mark Twain and Theodore Roosevelt. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect as their guests dined al fresco in the cool October air and enjoyed the soothing sounds of live jazz. The couple’s desire to spend time connecting with each guest was the focal point of this intimate gathering and popcorn delivered straight from the boardwalk where the bride grew up is just one of the many personal touches that made this historic mansion feel more like home.
